About NCFlexe, IIT Kanpur

National Centre for Flexible Electronics (NCFlexe) was established in 2014 through a grant from the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) under the ESDM scheme of Electronics Policy, 2012 of Government of India and support from IIT Kanpur. This center functions as a nodal point in India to bring academia, industry, and public research organizations under one umbrella for research and development of large-area flexible electronics. The center simultaneously supports research for academia and develops products with (and also for) the industry.

About the work from home job/internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Developing user interface components using angular and backend modules, and implementing them using popular Node.js workflows

2. Developing new highly responsive, web-app user interface

3. Constructing visualizations that are able to depict vast amounts of data

4. Developing backend javascript for tasks such as user location tracking and performing an action on it, processing the data from DB and sending relevant information to the client-side

5. Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code

6. Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

7. Developing a flexible and well-structured front-end architecture, along with the APIs to support it
